About Us
The KMT School was founded in the year 2009 by Ponnachana Mohan. KMT is located in the midst of nature, tucked away from the commercial distractions for students. The campus area is about 6.4 acres, located 1.5 km from Kushalnagar towards Madikeri.
It is a co-educational institution affiliated to the Karnataka State Board (LKG to Std. XII) and committed to academic excellence through structured learning, life skills development and inquiry-based experiences.. The curriculum gives equal importance to both curricular and co-curricular activities. We believe education should inspire values, foster critical thinking, encourage inquiry and empower students to contribute meaningfully to society.
Our aim is to encourage each student to not only strive to achieve academic excellence but also aspire to become a socially aware and responsible individual who is well equipped to excel in a global society.
KMT is proudly an IB Aspiring School working toward authorization to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) — an inquiry-based international curriculum designed to develop globally minded learners. While continuing strong State Board programs, we are integrating international best practices in teaching and learning.
In collaboration with STAPATHYA Group of Institutions, the school continues to strengthen teaching quality, infrastructure and holistic student development.
